Mexican Regional Government Backs Mexico Pacific’s LNG Infrastructure Project

Energy Company Mexico Pacific and the government of the Mexican state of Chihuahua have entered into a strategic collaboration agreement to attract key financial investment to support the construction and operation of the Sierra Madre Pipeline.

  • The Sierra Madre Pipeline will start at the US-Mexican border moving approximately 2.8 Bcf/d of natural gas across the states of Chihuahua and Sonora to the Saguaro Energía LNG facility.
  • The 15 MTPA Saguaro Energia LNG Facility is the most advanced LNG development project on the West Coast of North America.
  • When operational, it will provide Asian buyers with access to US natural gas without transiting the Panama Canal.
