Minority Leader McConnell Expected To Make Full Recovery From Concussion

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a concussion in a fall yesterday.

  • Liz Goodwin at the WaPo reports: "After a briefing on Leader McConnell’s condition for senators, Sen [Ron] Barasso [R-WY] said he expected him to make “a full recovery” and that’s he’s awake and talking. Barasso hasn’t spoken to him personally yet. He’s being treated for a concussion."
  • McConnell's spokesperson David Popp said in a statement: “Leader McConnell tripped at a dinner event Wednesday evening and has been admitted to the hospital and is being treated for a concussion. He is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days of observation and treatment. The Leader is grateful to the medical professionals for their care and to his colleagues for their warm wishes.”
