Nehammer Approval Plummets Following Moscow Trip

EU

Austria Chancellor Karl Nehammer has seen a 7 point drop in net approval to -29 in the latest Morning Consult Global Leader performance tracker.

  • On May 1 Nehammer recorded the lowest approval of his premiership, reflecting a poorly received trip to Moscow to meet with Russia President Vladimir Putin and a perceived soft hand on Russia sanctions.
  • UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson remains the least popular global leader with net -33 approval and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi the most popular with net +58 approval.
