No New All-Time High, Just Yet

GOLD

USD gyrations meant that gold tested, but failed to break its all-time high
on Wednesday, although familiar themes remain in play for bullion, with
the technical backdrop little changed. Spot last deals ~$5/oz lower around
the $1,965/oz mark.

  • It is worth noting that reports have pointed to some Chinese banks
suspending the opening of new positions in some precious metal
related products due to market volatility, this includes some gold
    products.
