Parkland Burnaby Refinery Units to Resume as Weather Warms this Week

Normal operations at the Parkland Burnaby refinery in Canada at are expected to resume this week, with preparations to restart units as warm weather returns.

  • The refinery has been affected by cold weather since Friday with some units down according to spokesman Simon Scott via Bloomberg.
  • All monitored units were shut during the evening of Jan 12 according to Woodmac reports. Affected units include the 33kb/d CDU, 22kb/d CDU, 12.6kb/d VDU, 19.9kb/d FCC, 11.6kb/d catalytic reformer, 15.8kb/d diesel hydrotreater, 15kb/d gasoline hydrotreater and 15kb/d naphtha hydrotreater.
