  • Govt is behind its target of 500k vaccinations by May, requiring 12k vaccinations/day while the current rate is 6k/day. However, 95 vaccination sites are due to open shortly
  • Wage negotiations move one step closer to a national strike as the deadlock between unions and govt holds.
    • However, with unions calling for the strike to be protected, this means a length process to get certificates and permissions to do so -delaying the strike
  • Special Investigative Unit (SIU) is probing a company linked to ANC Spox Pule Mabe over an allegedly unlawful R27m tender in 2017. Ramaphosa gave the SIU the green light to investigate
  • Former ANC NW Chairperson & Premier Supra Maphelo has been suspended for sowing division within the ANC.
    • Maphelo is a key ally for Zuma and Magashule, with the suspension being viewed as a positive for Ramaphosa
