Russia Offline Primary Oil Refining Capacity for November Revised Higher

Russia's offline primary oil refining capacity has been revised up by 12% to 2.714mn tons in November from the previous plan, according to industry sources and Reuters calculations, due to changes in the maintenance schedule of some plants.

  • This is still around 45% less than in October, when idle primary refining capacity reached 4.906mn tons and maintenance season was at its peak.
  • Russian seaborne crude oil shipments rose by 370kbpd on the week to 3.24mbpd as of 26 November, Bloomberg ship tracking data showed.
