Russian Supply to EU Stable at Low Volumes

NATURAL GAS

European gas saw a very volatile day yesterday with prices between 194€/MWh and 227€/MWh on reports of varying supply from Russia.

  • TTF AUG 22 down -3.6% at 197.9€/MWh
  • Nord Stream flows are now down to 20% of capacity with nominations today again showing as 31.8mcm/d. Gas transit via Ukraine is showing unchanged from yesterday as 42.1mcm/d despite initial indications that flows could be lower today.
  • Norwegian supply remains stable at 335.6mcm/d while the high TTF prices are helping to maintain strong LNG imports and enabling storage injections to continue.
  • European storage is up to 67.5% full and keeping pace with the seasonal normal of 68.1%.
