Chancellor Olaf Scholz delivering comments at the Mechanical Engineering Industry Association:

  • Livestream (in German):
  • "Decoupling with China would be the wrong path, we need wise political and economic diversification "
  • "Putin wants to divide Europe and the German society but we will not allow this. "
  • "We cannot expect energy deliveries from Russia for the foreseeable future"
  • "The gov't is urgently considering gas price brake proposal and clarifying how to adopt and implement".
  • "We need international agreement on energy prices, this will be discussed at the G7"
