FOREX: The subdued character of today's Asia-Pacific session was reflected in
range-bound price action across the G10 FX space. The focus was on familiar
themes: U.S.-China relations, as well as Brexit & potential for a UK snap
election after Labour Leader Corbyn refused to back PM Johnson's push for an
early poll in December until a no-deal scenario is taken off the table.
- NZD landed at the bottom of the G10 basket ahead of a local holiday on Monday.
In Asian FX, KRW pared losses registered after the country's FinMin Hong said it
will drop its privileged "developing country" status.
- U.S. TR Lighthizer, U.S. Tsy Sec Mnuchin and Chinese VP Liu will speak about
trade matters by phone today. Meanwhile, EU diplomats have their get-together in
Brussels to discuss the UK's request for a Brexit delay.
- Data-wise, German Ifo survey and Gfk consumer confidence, U.S. U. of Mich.
Sentiment and Swedish retail sales take focus from here. The list of central
bank speakers includes Riksbank's Ohlsson and Floden, Norges Bank's Olsen and
