FOREX: Tight ranges in play across the major G10 crosses in front of the long
U.S. holiday weekend, with participants perhaps cognisant of headline risk ahead
of that the latest round of tariffs in the Sino-U.S. trade war, which are set to
go into play on Sunday.
- KRW making the most notable waves in early Asia hours with the latest
developments on the Sino-U.S. trade war front (however questionable they may
be), coupled with stronger than expected local industrial production data
helping to support KRW in early onshore trade.
- The latest round of BoJ Rinban operations & the BoK MonPol decision provide
the major headline risk events during the remainder of the Asia session, with
eyes also on all things China. Looking beyond the regional docket, focus will
fall on EZ CPI data, German retail sales, U.S. PCE & Chicago PMI as well as
Canadian GDP
