US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are trading fairly flat Tuesday amid a general tone
of risk aversion.
- 10-Yr T-note futures are up 0.5 ticks at 119-10, having traded within an
8-tick range so far (119-06 to 119-14).
- Modest bull flattening in the cash curve: the 2-Yr yield is up 0.2bps at
2.7912%, 5-Yr is down 0.5bps at 2.8645%, 10-Yr is down 1.1bps at 3.0519%, and
30-Yr is down 1.2bps at 3.3089%.
- Eurodollar futures are broadly unchanged.
- Equity futures have come off earlier lows but remain under pressure,
suggesting a continued risk-off tone. S&P E-minis off 0.56% at 2,681.25.
- The dollar hit lows at around 0300EST, but have bounced back alongside
Italy/Germany spread widening pressuring the euro earlier. DXY index up 0.11% at
96.297.
- Today`s data includes Oct housing starts and building permits, Philadelphia
Fed Nonmfg Index and Redbook retail sales.
