Exxon’s Crude Units In Nigeria Halt Loadings On Strike Action

Exxon Mobil’s crude units in Nigeria declared a force majeure notice on crude liftings from multiple terminals because of strike action, a spokesperson for one of the firms said.

  • Exxon is one of the largest oil producers in Nigeria. Force majeure allows companies to skip their contractual obligations due to circumstances beyond their control.
  • Nigerian crude oil production fell by 2% in March to 1.517mbpd according to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission.
