  • RBC report that in 2023, gratuitous fees from businesses will bring the budget RUB114bln, according to government estimates. This is mainly proceeds from the sale of assets in Russia by foreigners. In 2024, only RUB2bln are expected under this item.
  • Russia may join China in banning Japanese seafood imports after Japan released treated radioactive water from the wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant into the sea, and Moscow is seeking talks with Japan, a Russian regulator said as per Reuters.
