Manufacturing PMI Rises to 49.2 in January

  • Turkey’s manufacturing PMI rose to 49.2 in January from 47.4 in December – its highest level since September. New Orders rose to 46.6 compared to 45.3 the month prior, marking the seventh consecutive month of contraction.
  • Istanbul Chamber of Commerce publishes January retail inflation data for Istanbul at 09:00GMT/12:00 local time. The central bank will publish a summary of its latest rate-setting meeting at 11:00GMT/14:00 local time as well as weekly portfolio capital flows data.
  • There are no notable data releases on the docket Friday, with CPI data the highlight next week (Prior: +64.77% y/y).
