UK DATA: Q2 Current Account Widens As Primary, Secondary Deficits Grow

The UK current account deficit widened by stg0.9bn to stg23.182bn, 
equating to 4.6% of GDP, in Q2 from a revised deficit of stg22.3bn in 
Q1. The widening in the deficit was driven mainly by growth in the 
primary and secondary income deficits, which grew by stg1.4bn and 
stg1.9bn respectively. These were offset by a narrowing in the goods 
trade deficit which narrowed by stg2.3bn in Q2.
