RENEWABLES: Swedish Firm Eyes 160MW Finnish Energy Storage Plant

Sweden’s SENS is ready to start the construction phase of an 85MW BESS unit and a 75MW underground pumped storage facility in Finland, with operations due by 2025, it said.
- The plants are located at the Pyhasalmi mine in Northern Finland.
- The project was acquired by the firm after entering into a principal agreement to provide technical solutions for the project in May.
