Russia Expects to Maintain 2022 LNG Export Level This Year

Russian LNG exports will maintain last year’s pace in 2023 according to Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov.

  • "LNG exports in 2023 will remain at last year's level," he said despite repairs carried out at Russian LNG plants this year.
  • "The market is good, demand is strong. On our part it's important to ensure process capability," Shulginov said.
  • Europe has imported similar levels of LNG so far in 2023 as it did last year but countries like Spain and Belgium saw notable increases.
