UK: Some reactions from the politics journos on the post-Brexit EU/UK statement:
- Steven Swinford, Telegraph: "Looking at Political Declaration, much of
Chequers remains intact... Some ministers have deep concerns about ECJ , 'deep
regulatory & customs co-operation' & prospect of sanctions if we diverge... But
then they have already swallowed Chequers. Expect reservations,not resignations"
- Sam Coates, Times: "26 pages with something for everything, but nothing in
stone...underlines how little has been decided 2.5 years after triggering
article 50. The non-committal verbs seems more important than the nouns to which
they refer. 
- "Biggest win for brexiteers - Max Fac lives as an option that "will also be
considered" (having been killed in London Brussels and Dublin many times before,
and many times again)"
- BBC Brussels Correspondent Adam Fleming: "1st reading of draft Political
Declaration: 1) something for everyone - ease of trade v level playing field,
customs v independent trade policy, close but no 4 freedoms 2)maintenance of
many existing security capabilities 3) LOTS to negotiate after 29/3"
