RBNZ: /VIEW: Westpac note that "low inflation has been the key feature of the
current economic cycle, both in New Zealand and globally. The factors driving
'lowflation' have not gone away, so core inflation is likely to remain lower
than the RBNZ would like for some time."
- Westpac still "expect that the OCR will begin rising only at the end of 2019,
and we are pleased to see that financial markets have largely come around to
that view. There have been big changes at the RBNZ which could affect its
behaviour in the future, but these have not affected the immediate OCR outlook."
